Justin is a 1996 sorrel overo sired by Zippos Old Gold, who is by Zippo Pine Bar. Both sire and grandsire are on the AQHA Leading Sires List and have been for many years. Zippos Old Gold is also an AQHA World Champion. Justin's dam, Far Out Frost, has more than 3,000 APHA points and eight World and Reserve World Championships. She was the #2 Amateur horse in 1999, and ranked #10 in 2002 with limited showing.
Justin's show career spanned from his two year old year through his six year old year. He has earned more than 500 APHA points in Western Pleasure, 89 in Western Riding and 70 in Trail. He was Zone 1 Champion Western Pleasure horse as a two, three, four and five year old. In 1999 he was California State and Northwest Coordinating Committee Champion Jr. Western Pleasure horse. In 1999, Justin was the #1 Honor Roll Western Pleasure stallion, and in 2001 he was the #1 Honor Roll Western Riding horse. He has had five Top Ten finishes at the APHA World Show, including a World Championship in Western Riding.
His first foals in 2001 were from a select number of quarter horse mares resulting in 70% color. These horses are now proving themselves in the show pen and have their sire's quiet and easily trainable disposition. Justin stood to an open book of mares in 2001. Justin has sired a Reserve World Champion, a World Show Top 10, two World Show Finalists, many futurity winners and many superior earners.
